Question: Will kung fu training benefit me in the way that I want it to?
Answer: Everyone joins a martial arts school with different expectations and reasons for wanting to learn. The many benefits that are associated with receiving instruction in martial arts, are available to every student. All of our students have seen improvement some improvement as the result of taking martial arts. Some students want to gain the benefit of stress relief, while others want to lose weight, or gain agility and coordination. All of these students are in the same martial arts classes. It is up to the student to extract the benefits they are looking for from the instruction provided. The first area of your life that you can see an improvement in, is in your physical self.
Martial arts training at our Las Vegas school will teach you one of the most efficient way to get in and stay in shape. It is a fun, fulfilling, motivating, workout, where everyone walks away with something new each day. The best thing about our workouts are that you accomplish two things at once. You develop your body and health while you learn self defense. A martial artist’s body is unlike the body of any other athlete. This is because there is a huge difference in the way a martial artist works out and the standard day at the fitness center. We differ by focusing on teaching you specific methods of gaining strength, speed, flexibility, and endurance. Workouts are never boring because you are constantly interacting with other students. Also, the martial arts workout is not like a typical aerobics class because each movement is taught in detail and therefore you will never feel "lost" or out of place. We know that you may have never taken martial arts before. We are always patient, professional and totally committed to making you progress. You take training at your own pace and you are never too old or too out of shape to start.

After college graduation, I found myself with a lingering ankle injury and adjusting poorly to a sedentary lifestyle. Years passed where I gained weight and was unhappy with how I looked and felt. During this time, I was interested in kung fu but did not feel physically fit enough to participate and unmotivated to do anything about it. Finally, last spring after recently losing 30 lbs. I was presented the opportunity, time and motivation to join.
Since last spring the most enjoyable improvement for me has been actually felling my age rather than older. Having the stamina and drive to go out and do what I want. I finally feel I have shaken that old ankle injury with improvement in balance and strengthening. So thank you again, for helping me feel better about myself, who I am and what I have become.
Thank you for teaching me Kung Fu!
Sincerely,
Some of the things you will learn in class are:
You will enjoy the workout, as well as the your friendships that come along with training with others that share the same interests. You will find that training and exercising with people who have similar goals and objectives will build friendships that last a lifetime.

Answer: Confidence comes from competence. The sense of accomplishment you gain from learning and improving in something of a physical nature leads to a great feeling of confidence. Confidence also comes from knowing that you can defend yourself if you had to, but to a greater extent it is the confidence of knowing that you can control yourself, in many different circumstances. This leads to being able to take control of your life. The true essence of martial arts are about knowing yourself and becoming and meeting your fullest potential. The confidence building component of our adult program is the benefit that students appreciate the most. It is one of the first benefits that you begin to see when training in martial arts. You will feel an improvement in your overall spirit and mood. When you feel good you project a higher level of confidence and that's key to effective self-protection. There is no feeling that can compare to the security in knowing that you have the tools necessary to defend yourself or loved ones should the need arise. Younger people today face much more challenging environments and pressures than in the past. The classes at our school teach them to relieve those pressures and gives them the confidence to avoid and, if necessary, handle a confrontation. For the younger students, just knowing they they can handle themselves in a rough situation can greatly increase their chances of becoming successful academically.
