Are you one of the many parents that wants to keep your child busy this Summer?

I know how you feel. No one want their child to be sitting around the house doing nothing.

Well, If your child could design a perfect Summer, I know that they would probably include plenty of new friends, new activities to do every day, and a cool place to play when the temperature hits 112 degrees in Las Vegas.

If you could design the perfect Summer for yourself, you would stay busy and productive while being assured that your child is in activities where they are learning something of value and are having fun at the same time. Just imagine being able to drop off your child to camp, everyday, from 8 a.m. in the morning to 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon.

Spring Break Camps

You would finally be able to get to all of those pesky errands and chores you have been meaning to get to, but never had the chance.

Or maybe even.... finally having some time for yourself!

Our Summer camps are more fun and interesting than any other activity you could enroll your child into.

So, how will we keep your child interested and engaged all Summer long?I am going to to tell you a secret. The reason your child will love Summer camps so much is because we disguise martial arts training in the form of games.

Here is why.

Children learn through play.

Most of the physical coordination you have right now was developed in your own childhood, and I bet most of it was gained through games like tag and hide and go seek.

Think about it.

When you see children at the park, they are always trying to climb and jump and push their limits. Sometimes, as parents we get nervous seeing their daredevil antics. When I see my son jump down a short flight of stairs it gives my heart a jump! Children love to test out their agility, jumping and balancing skills, and are constantly using their imagination to create new games and activities.

One example of how we disguise training is the activity called “The obstacle course”. Your child will learn that the objective of this game is to run or jump through a series of obstacles. The kids themselves set up the actual course. They may have the first obstacle be kicking the heavy bag. Then they might move on to a forward somersault (ninja roll) on the mats, then maybe a duck and jump drill where one student swings a swimming noodle toward their head and under their feet.

When martial arts training is presented in this kind of format, it doesn't seem like training at all, yet while playing these simple games and activities your child is gaining agility, coordination, focus and concentration, the ability to listen and follow instructions, the ability to work as a team, good sportsmanship, and most of all.... the technical skill of a martial artist!

We offer early drop off (7:30 a.m. – 8 a.m.) and late pick up (to 7 p.m.)  for just $6 per day

Make sure to pack your child enough food to last them all the way!

Enrolling in martial arts Summer camps also gives your child an edge in life.

You know what? I understand if you are a bit skeptical about how much martial arts training in our Summer Camps could benefit your child.

What I am going to show you are the 3 biggest benefits your child gets when they come to Summer Camps in Las Vegas and Henderson.

  • First, let me tell you about self confidence or self-esteem building.
This is the biggest one. Success is a habit that can be cultivated and nurtured. The games and activities that we play are set up so that as your child plays them, they become just a bit more challenging every time we reset. Within the games are “mini” goals which are attainable through the exertion of effort. Slowly, your child will be able to develop the habit of continuous success through little steps and progressions. We help and encourage them until they succeed.Your child's success and accomplishments are then recognized by giving them praise in front of the rest of the children. For example, when your child completes the obstacle course, praise could be as simple as saying”great job”. But when said in front of their peers, it means a lot. When you build the students self esteem, their sense of self worth grows. Your child will begin to see himself as a competent martial artist and self confidence comes from competence. As your child advances in skill every day, their feeling of confidence will advance as well. An increase in self confidence for your child will have a cross over effect in other areas of their life. Other challenges in life, both physical and mental, will be met with much less fear.
  • The next biggest benefit your child gets when they attend our Summer camps is the benefit of self control.
Self control is the ability to control one's thoughts, one's body and one's mouth when they are out of control. Your child will not only learn what it means to be self controlled but will practice it everyday of Summer camp. The very nature of a martial arts class is that it is disciplined. Our Las Vegas Summer camps are no different the activities are structured and routine. One of the first lessons your child will learn is how to line up and get ready for class. During this line up, your child will be taught how to stand at ease, how to stand at attention, and how to do a stance we call “listening stance” The expectations of not moving or talking are taught at the very beginning so your child will know exactly what is expected of them.Your child will be able to take this knowledge and apply it outside of summer camp. They will be able to go to school and know that self control means to not talk while the teacher is talking. Self control ultimately means that even if they feel like doing something they know to hold back.
  • The third biggest benefit your child will gain, is an increase in their social skills.
Your child will often have to tap into resources that they never had to call on before. Your child will learn to get along with new types of people and try out new things. One example of how our camps encourage social skills development in your child is in the drill we call “polite greeting”. The polite greeting involves 4 parts. The 4 parts are: eye contact, firm handshake, a smile, and a script. The script we teach the children is “Hi, my name is ______” then “Nice to meet you.” Polite greetings are done everyday regardless of whether the kids know each other. We liken it to martial arts practice. In martial arts many time we repeat what we already know to improve upon it. With the polite greeting, we have the kids practice it so often it becomes second nature to them. Children who are initially shy and withdrawn, will learn the proper way to introduce themselves in social situations. I believe this skill alone is pricelessMany times these types of benefits are intangible at first. Sometime,s at home and in school, your child may be able to dodge new experiences. At well-run Summer camps, they can't. With the safety net of insightful instructors, your child can risk finding out what works and what doesn't in interpersonal relationships, while discovering new facets of themselves

Our Las Vegas Summer Camps are the answer you have been looking for!

Best of all, no martial arts experience is required.

About the Instructor

Instructor Renee has been involved in martial arts since 2000.

She absolutely love working with the kids, because she is young at heart.

She has two children of her own, who you will meet when you come to your first day of camp.

Their names are Kaitlyn and Isaac.

Wondering what age they need to be to attend camp?

In Las Vegas and Henderson, that is one of the most common question that is asked. We accept children between the ages of 5 – 13 years old. If your teenager thinks their might be to many younger kids, don't worry, we have a bunch of teenage assistants that attend the camps and the older kids usually work together.

No Summer Vacation?

Now, you might be saying to yourself, “Well my child does not have Summer vacation he is in year round school and is on track 1, 2, 3,....etc”. No problem!! We offer camps for 12 weeks between June - August. You can either choose a week to week basis or even pay daily.

We have been running camps now for the last eight years and we know how to do camps right.
