The benefits for adults training in the martial arts
People who have never take martial arts before assume that when they enroll in martial arts you just learn some cool moves like the ones seen in movies. However, training in the martial arts is so much more than that. When you enroll at our school, you will gain a ton of benefits that you probably didn't think about.
Training here will change your outlook on life, give you mental focus and even improve your social life!
Physical fitness
Although the different martial arts we teach here have different levels of physical activity, all of them will give you improved physical fitness. For example, in Tai chi class, the workout is very low impact. However the focus of the workout is on improving both balance and leg strength. Even at this level, the workout will improve your mental health and mood and give you enough fitness that your body will remain strong even into old age.
Focus and Concentraion
Improved focus comes from the dilligent practice of the forms and routines found in the martial arts. When you have to memorize and be aware of every detail of your posture, stance power, speed and fluidity, your ability to focus, grows by leaps and bounds.
One of the biggest benefits to training here is the improvement you will see in your level of discipline. It requires large amounts of self discipline in order to be successful in the martial arts. This kind of discipline translate directly to all other ares of your life, such as work and family.
The last benefit you will see is an improved social life.
In today's world of increased isolation, being part of a group of like minded individuals can be invaluable. Everyone in the school is on the same path as you, They are interested in the same goals they are working toward improving and bettering themselves, just like you.
Being part of a tribe of people with similar values and goals lead to lasting friendships even outside of the school.
Here are just some of the proven benefits martial arts can offer you:
Dear Kevin and Renee, I would like to take this time to thank you for the positive changes you and your studio has made to my life over the last six months..
Before I joined your studio, I called and spoke to Kevin on the telephone. I was inquiring about the type of training you provided. I was looking for a studio that I could learn the art of kung fu, but needed a place that was patient and encouraging. I wanted an exercise program that engaged my mind and body. I would like to tell you that you have provided this environment and so much more. As a thirty something year old mother of two, wife and full time state employee, I knew that I would not learn things as quickly as a younger person and of course not be in the physical shape I was in my twenties. Your encouragement and patience have made me exceed even my own expectations I am currently in the best shape of my life but even more important I am gaining confidence in myself that I never thought possible. It has affected the way I approach every aspect of my life. It has truly taught me self discipline, which carry over to every day activities. Every time I receive another stripe or belt it is an affirmation that a person can accomplish almost anything by persistence and sheer determination. Your studio is a very warm and friendly place that I actually can't wait to attend twice a week. Several people have approached me in the last couple of months about how healthy and young I look and I can honestly give you a lot of the credit. Thank you again for the great training and I have and would recommend this studio to any women looking for self improvement and physical fitness.
